Mr. John Julien

Mr. Julien is a former General Secretary of the Communications Workers’ Union.

The Communication Workers’ Union (CWU), formerly called Communication Services and General Workers Union was formed in July 1953.  The union has a long history and tradition of representing workers in Trinidad and Tobago.  

Mr. Julien a vocal advocate for workers’ rights in Trinidad and Tobago, is serving as a member of the Board of Directors of the Environmental Management Authority for a second time, having been previously appointed to the Board of Directors during the period 2010-2014. 

Apart from Mr. Julien’s work in the field of industrial relations, he has a technical background in telecommunications and is an employee of the Telecommunications Services of Trinidad and Tobago (TSTT).
