The Policy and Community Support Office (PACSO) of the Ministry of National Security recently met the Environmental Management Authority (EMA), to advance discussions on the development of a strengthened National Noise Pollution Policy and Action Plan.
EMA Deputy Chairman, Ms. Neeala Mongroo, underscored the urgent national priority of effective noise pollution control, especially as Trinidad and Tobago approaches the upcoming Carnival season. She noted that noise emissions from bars and events continue to be a major public concern and stressed that enforcement must be treated as an immediate environmental and public interest issue.
