World Wildlife Day celebrates and raises awareness of the world’s wild animals and plants.

The ocelot is a top predator in the diverse ecosystems in which it is found and a protected species under the Environmentally Sensitive Species Rules of Trinidad and Tobago.

The indigenous monkeys are in the process of being designated as Environmentally Sensitive Species in Trinidad and Tobago by the EMA. Primates play a role in maintaining ecosystems by dispersing seeds, pollinating plants and they are a visible link in the food web

The sea turtle nesting season in Trinidad and Tobago officially begins on the 1st March and runs until 31st August 2021. There are five species of sea turtles listed as Environmentally Sensitive Species
