The Environmental Management Authority (EMA) has been investigating a report by Mr. Boodoo (corn and pumpkin farmer) of Gran Couva of suspected geo-thermal activity in this area.
On Thursday July 8, 2010, a team comprising representatives of the EMA, Office of Disaster Preparedness and Management (ODPM), the Couva/Tabaquite/Talparo Regional Corporation and Geological Society visited the site.
