| EMA's Statement on Alutrint Construction |
|
|
The Environmental Management Authority (EMA) is looking into interventions required for stabilizing the Alutrint construction site following the June 16th court judgment which requires work on the site to cease. In this regard, the EMA is aware of Alutrint's intent to remedy potential safety risks at the La Brea construction site. This involves the removal of concrete blocks used as test loads during pile testing. Alutrint had reported that the blocks are inclining dangerously and had the potential to cause serious harm if left unattended. © EMA – June 25th 2009 |
